What Can I Expect at my Appointment?

Our multi-faceted approach to improving your skin begins before you even step foot in the office. We like to recommend a pre-treatment skincare routine up to 6-9 weeks before your laser treatment, using retinol-based products to improve skin health and lower the risk of burns, scarring or pigmentation changes from the laser.

We also offer several types of ProFractional skin rejuvenating treatments to target specific concerns:

East Face: skin rejuvenation to improve skin quality and collagen production.

North East: skin rejuvenation combined with light resurfacing.

East Meets West: skin rejuvenation combined with pigmentation correction.

Eye Tight: under-eye skin rejuvenation to remove signs of aging such as dark circles and/or loose skin.

Laser Lift: the most extensive combination of ablative and sub-ablative laser energy, to both resurface and tighten the skin at the same time. Often used in combination with soft tissue fillers, bio-stimulatory fillers and toxins to non-surgically rejuvenate the face and neck. This treatment is great for targeting wrinkles around the mouth and lower eyelids, as well as improving cheek and neck contour.

On the day of your appointment, patients are asked to arrive 30 minutes early so we can apply a numbing cream to the skin. We will discuss your goals from the procedure and recommend the most appropriate treatment type accordingly. The procedure then takes about 45 minutes.

After your appointment, we will send you home with a post-procedure kit from ZO Skin Health, which includes a vinegar-based soak that is pressed into the skin with a gauze sponge, and an emollient cream containing antioxidants and growth factors to further stimulate collagen production and facilitate healing.

 

How Quickly Will I See Results After ProFractional Laser Treatment?

Results will be noticeable immediately after your laser treatment, but will continue to improve over a period of 4-5 months. Your skin will be left red, a bit like a sunburn, and will feel rough to the touch. As your skin heals the redness will fade and the texture will soften.

The downtime from ProFracture laser treatments should be about 3-5 days depending on the strength of the laser settings.

 

How Often Can I Receive ProFractional Laser Treatments?

The ProFractional laser treatment can be repeated two times a year, with at least eight weeks between each treatment for the most effective results.

 

How Long Will My Results Last?

You should notice significant improvements in your skin quality and tone that will last for up to two years. However, texture improvements can last much longer or even be permanent.
