What is that? Why did this happen? What can I do to fix this? What is this called? Do you see this? Somebody!!!
Curious about your neckline? Whether your neck skin is a little loose, or you have more fat than you would like under your jawline, we have many good solutions for you. A thorough consultation with Dr. Capuano will help you choose the right procedure for you. From the least invasive to the surgical means, there are options for you, see below for more information.
For skin with mild laxity a procedure that is painless and has no down time is Skin tyte. It requires no anesthesia or incisions, and takes about 15 minutes per treatment. Visible skin tightening can usually be seen following 4-5 treatments, which are done at 1 month intervals, this is a maintenance mechanism.
If your platysmal muscle creates vertical bands on your neck, botox injections can provide you wth temporary improvement.
If you have a small amount of fat under your chin that you can't get rid of, Kybella is a great solution. During this procedure, kybella is injected directly into the fat under your chin. Kybella melts the fat and tightens the skin slightly. This procedure is also done in the office using local anesthesia, and requires no incisions. The procedure is repeated monthly for 3-4 months until the desired result is achieved.
If you have many fine lines and wrinkles under your chin and on your neck, and do not have a lot of excess skin, than fractional erbium laser can help you to improve them.
If you have a little more fat or skin laxity, then we have a procedure that bridges the gap between the non-invasive procedures and necklift surgery. The procedure is calle Precision Tx, and it uses a laser fiber to melt the fat so it can be removed through a small, straw like cannula. This is followed by using the laser to tighten the skin.
If you have moderate to severe skin laxity, surgery can correct both the skin, fat and fascia, while at the same time improving the contour of your neck, jawline and cheeks. Typical recovery time is 5 - 7 days.
