Did you know that hand surgery developed during World War II by Plastic Surgeons who were both active and non-active military? Since then several specialties have contributed to the nuances and intricacies of Hand surgery.
In addition to General Surgery and Orthopaedic Surgery, Hand surgery has been part of the training required by Plastic Surgeons during their residencies and/or fellowships. It is with great pride that Plastic Surgeons contribute to this specialty as one of the many complicated puzzles of Plastic Surgery.
It isn't surprising that Plastic Surgeons had pioneered hand surgery as within the profession, they are constantly looking to improve and piece things together how they naturally occur.
