October is Breast Cancer awareness

We cannot emphasize enough the importance of breast self exams, annual check-ups and mammograms.  Finding a change in your breasts and catching in its early stages could change the outcome of a potential breast cancer issue for you immensely.

Just know, you are important and worth taking the time to care for yourself.  Women often find themselves in an apparent conundrum where they put off caring for themselves because of others in their life that need their time and attention. And caring for yourself can seem like a huge inconvenience.  It is not.  We have countless women that shake their heads after a diagnosis at various stages of cancer, time and time again, they say I wish I knew sooner.

Make and take the time to get to know your breasts, examine them thoroughly for changes and make sure to get your annual exams at every age and a mammogram when you reach 40 years old with your doctor. Please also know your family history and talk with your primary or OBGYN to see if you are at an elevated risk for Breast Cancer.
