Brow Lift

What is a brow lift? A Brow Lift, or Forehead lift, is a routine procedure that is available near you and used to reduce the following symptoms:

  • Forehead creases

  • Drooping eyebrows

  • Hooding over the eyes

  • Frown lines

The procedure works by removing excess tissue, then elevating the muscles and tightening the forehead skin, giving you that youthful appearance.  A brow lift in NJ will allow you to reduce signs of aging on your forehead, upper eyelids and eyebrows, and may also result in you looking more alert and happy. A brow lift may be performed using an incision across the top of the forehead just behind the hairline; or with the use of an endoscope, through 3 to 5 short incisions within the hairline.

This is a common procedure performed by Dr. Capuano near you in Bergen County, New Jersey.

Is Brow Lift Surgery Right For Me?

The best NJ candidates for brow lift surgery are otherwise healthy adults, who are nonsmokers and who feel that their sagging or low eyebrow position creates a sad or tired look to their eyes that does not reflect the way they feel inside.  A brow lift procedure is also ideal if you have deep horizontal lines across your forehead or on the bridge of your nose.  Often brow lift patients who request an upper eyelid surgery because of hooding of skin over the upper eyelids really need a brow lift instead.

Brow lift expert, Dr. Capuano can help determine if a brow lift is right for you, after careful examination of your facial anatomy and skin quality, and consideration of your individual brow lift goals. Brow lift surgery is optimized by also improving the health and texture of your skin through combined treatment with non-surgical facial rejuvenation therapies including skin care systems, injectable fillers, toxin therapy, and laser resurfacing.

What is a forehead lift?

A brow lift is a procedure in which Dr. Capuano endoscopically raises your eyebrows due to laxity in the skin above your eyebrows, non-endoscopic lifts would create an incision along the hairline where the excision of the skin would take place, endoscopic allows for no incision in the hairline but would increase the length of your forehead.  A thorough consultation with Dr. Capuano is necessary to decide if you are a candidate for either procedure.

How much is a Forehead lift?

The average cost of a forehead lift in NJ is approximately $4500.

My eyebrows seem to be drooping, some say I need a surgery for my eyebrows, is this something that can be rectified by using botox?

Sometimes if the amount of eyebrow drooping that you have is minor, Botox injection into the muscle around the eye which normally depress the brows can cause the brows to lift a few milimeters and improve the position and appearance of the brows. The results can vary depending on your anatomy and how much skin laxity there is in your brows. A thorough consultation with Dr. Capuano can easily determine if you are a good candidate for a botox brow lift or if your needs are better suited for surgery.
