Skin Resurfacing

Skin resurfacing uses Ablative Erbium lasers which are considered safe and effective treatments for skin texture problems, including deep wrinkles that do not disappear when the skin is stretched. They acheive skin resurfacing by using  a similar mechanism to CO2 lasers, however they do not cause the hypopigmentation that is customarily seen with the CO2 laser. The entire surface of the skin is treated during this skin resurfacing procedure in Bergen. A computer controlled laser beam (2940 Erbium) automatically scans your skin, removing a precise layer of skin. Your body’s natural repair system will replace the old, damaged skin that was just removed during the skin resurfacing, with a fresh, new and healthy layer of skin.  At NCPS in Bergen, We can adjust the depth of your skin resurfacing treatment from shallow removal (which can be appropriate for eliminating fine lines, sun spots and tired-looking skin) to deep removal (which is often appropriate to improve skin tone/texture and eliminate deep wrinkles including difficult areas like the upper lip lines and crow’s feet).
