MicroNeedling
Results from our microneedling procedure in NJ include production of collagen ...
A Vampire facial is a microneedling treatment where PRP is used as both a lubricant for the needles to glide over the skin resulting with the PRP's being driven into the tissue and additionally is applied afterward while the small holes created by the needles are still open.
Your blood is drawn and is separated in a centrifuge and applied to the skin during the microneedling treatment, these "micro" injuries serve two purposes. The first purpose is to allow the PRP's to get into the deep portions of the skin. The second purpose is to create a controlled injury which will bring your bodies own stem cells to the area to start healing the injury. The stem cells are the engine for rejuvenation, the PRP's are the fuel. PRP's have also been shown to restore hair in male and female patterned hair loss. See Hair Restoration for more information.
You are a good candidate if you are interested in rejuvenating your skin and want to explore the benefits of a combination treatment that offers a variety of benefits. We can check your platelet levels to see if they are adequate to yield a good result. There must be no active disease on the skin including rashes, ulcers or open wounds at the time of treatment.
Though vampire facials can be great at any age, there is no study showing benefit in teen skin for having PRP's or microneedling unless you have skin damage like acne scarring, traumatic scarring, post surgical. Being said, we generally do not perform them on anyone under the age of 21 without a direct benefit.
You will see a result in the short term from your Vampire facial but it will continue to improve for several months and the effects can last six months to one year.
For optimal results, I recommend having a series of 3 Vampire facials at 6 week intervals and then maintenance of once every 6 months to a year depending upon need.
